Programs to Improve Urban Impact
The government has taking action towards urban impact and has provided direct water connection and a private toilet to every house. Also to improve water sanitation a project called 'Manila Third Sewerage' has begun, so far 262,000 septic tanks have been installed and 77,137 water connections with sewage treatment were provided. This has reduced water pollution and there are now cleaner waterways. Before the project started there were countless cases of diarrhoea and cholera.
